Harbour View Cottage, Clovelly, an adults-only B&B, offers sea views from a recently renovated historic building, with a sun terrace and a garden. Guest rooms include double rooms with sea views, king rooms with sea views, and larger twin rooms; some have private bathrooms with a toilet and sink but no shower, while other rooms use a shared bathroom. A ground-floor room is dog-friendly. A full English or Irish breakfast is served each morning at Harbour View Cottage, Clovelly, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, along with warm dishes and juice. Harbour View Cottage sits halfway down the cobbled main street, next to the New Inn pub and tea rooms. Clovelly Court Gardens are a 12-minute walk away, while Mouthmill Beach lies 3 km from the property. Parking is available at the village entrance, and the host can transport luggage to the cottage by sledge for £5. Free WiFi, private check-in and check-out, luggage storage, and packed lunches are included. Board games are available in the lounge, and the garden and sun terrace provide outdoor seating.
Pros
The hosts provide a taxi service for coastal path walkers to Hartland Quay, Morwenstow, and Bude.
The village can be very quiet at night.
The shared bathroom is spacious and clean.
“The sense of welcome at this Clovelly cottage is palpable, immediately setting a relaxed tone. Its location, halfway down the village, provides a magical vantage point with truly arresting sea views from the rooms. Beyond the picturesque setting, the attentive hosts elevate the experience, making any logistical challenges of the village feel remarkably manageable.”
